Honestly, i just had the gradesJan 08 2005Psychology
Honestly, i just had the grades.. my application and essay where bullshit.. in fact i applied an hour before deadline and filled out the application after a night of partying. I dont know how they pick em.
SAT: 1340 Female
My essayJan 15 2004Language - French/Spanish/etc.
My essay was unique and obviously very personal. My SAT score was on the low side but around the 1100 range. I took lots of SAT II tests to try to boost my image. I did really well on the French and Spanish SAT II. There was also my extracur. which prob helped. My highschool grades were B and up except for some drops in senior year. That must have hurt me since I got into BUs CGS prog. Which is like the last resort to get into BU, unless you choose to go in there.

City wise, if you are from NYC don't come to Boston. You will prob hate it if you love nyc. I made that mistake. Also its not at the center of Boston so you are not in the middle of lights and the action.
SAT: 1100 Female

Be You. HAHANov 05 2003Undecided
Be You. HAHA. I know, it's corny. But that's what they want from your essays. Just tell it like it is, no matter how weird, cynical, or out right insulting it may be. Individuality is key at this university and they like people who know themselves.
ACT: 29 SAT: 1300 Male
I don't think it's that hard to get in, mySep 21 2003Chemistry
I don't think it's that hard to get in, my essay was about my academic faults, in particular my efforts to get into a good university.
SAT: 1280 Female
I wrote a decentMar 31 2003Philosophy
I wrote a decent essay and had 5s on all my APs, also decent SATs and a good GPA. If you are from a Boston public school, you should consider applying for the Boston Scholars program --it's how I got free tuition.
